NSW Powerchair Football Association hosts referees course led by FIPFA APO Head Referee Mark Simon-Green ahead of the 2026 season.

The NSW Powerchair Football Association (NSWPFA) recently hosted a Powerchair Football referees course at Stanhope Leisure Centre, bringing members of the community together to learn more about officiating the game.

Held over two days in February, the course gave participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the rules and structure of Powerchair Football ahead of the 2026 NSWPFA season.

The course was led by Mark Simon-Green, FIPFA Head Referee for the Asia Pacific Oceania zone, who shared his extensive knowledge and experience with attendees.

Participants included players, coaches and community members who were interested in learning more about the sport, with the course designed to help strengthen both refereeing capability and overall understanding of the game.

Investing in referee development is an important part of supporting the continued growth of Powerchair Football in NSW, helping ensure competitions remain fair, safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.

The course was a great opportunity for members of the community to connect, learn and contribute to the future of the sport as preparations continue for the upcoming season.
